| A few days ago I acquired "The Smurfs Ultimate Collection 1" on DVD. If you don't know what a Smurf is, head on over to IMDB. This is a region 4 DVD release from Magna Home Entertainment, exclusive to Australia and New Zealand, so if you're not in one of those countries, you will want to begin your search online for this set. Shipping is usually reasonably priced, and unlike purchasing items from the US, most companies will be willing to ship overseas. It is quite common for prices to be quoted inclusive of GST (the local sales tax in both countries), so you should expect a discount on overseas sales.  | |

You may have heard about the recently released book "Go The F**k To Sleep", by Adam Mansbach. Here is my brief review. Obviously, this book is intended for adults, particularly parents who have experienced the pain of getting a child to sleep. I fortunately have not had this experience, but I was once a child, and rather difficult to get to stay in bed, so I know a little about the subject. | |

| I've been watching a series called "Plain Jane", on the recommendation of a former co-worker with, I must say, questionable taste. The basic concept is take someone who is 'plain', set up a blind date with her 'crush', expose her to her biggest fear (or irrational phobia) to put the whole 'boy' problem in a bit of perspective, before the usual makeover, and sending her out to the (supposedly) unsuspecting blind date.  | |
